Here at DFW Tzus & More Rescue, we know the difficulty we each face in our every day lives, and that's why we're here to let you know, that if you want to help us and the dogs we save, there are ways to help that will fit anyone's schedule and budget.

Volunteer

Please consider volunteering your time to help our organization run smoothly. Fostering is our primary need, but if you are unable to foster, then there are other duties with which we will need help. Available tasks include, but are certainly not limited to such tasks as: adoption event counseling, transportation, home visits and phone calls, making photos, writing text and updating our web-site, or making organization spreadsheets for tracking information, sewing dog beds or belly bands, and coordinating volunteers and volunteer activities. We appreciate any time you are willing to make- whether it is once-a-week or once-a-year.

Friendship, support, and advocacy are just some of the rewards of volunteering. All our volunteers, who are all ages with various occupations/backgrounds, are bonded by a shared love for dogs.

Fostering

We are in always in desperate need of foster homes, as we do not have a central facility to provide shelter for these homeless furbabies. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save, and fewer that are left in shelters to die.

The foster parent provides shelter, love, and food for the foster dog. DFW Tzus & More will provide ALL medical care, training classes, and grooming. If needed, we will be happy to provide food, supplies, and transportation as well.

Fostering will change the lives of both foster dog and foster parent. By providing a foster dog a safe and loving home, the foster parent will feel satisfied that he/she is making a difference by saving a dog's life, and also making a difference in the lives of the adopting families. The foster dog will no longer have to be fearful of being homeless, uncared for, or hungry. Until you have fostered, you can’t imagine how rewarding the experience can be.

Adopt

These dogs need a permanent loving family and home. If you are considering adopting a homeless furbaby, please visit our FAQ's About Our Dogs. If you decide a Shih Tzu, Lhasa, or other small, fluffy dog is right for you after reading the FAQ's, please fill out our online adoption application.

Donate $$$

If you are unable to donate your time, please consider making a monetary donation to our homeless dogs. We are funded solely by private donations. Monetary donations pay for the dog's medical care, supplies, training, etc. Any amount would be appreciated!

If there is a particular dog that captures your heart, please donate item(s) or $ to help him/her. Please be sure to mention the dog's name either to a DFW Tzus & More volunteer at a Petsmart Adoption Event, or on the donation page, to ensure the donated item(s) or $ will go directly to the dog whom you are giving to.

Help DFW Tzus and More Rescue dogs each time you use your Kroger card!!  Kroger will donate a percentage of your purchases to DFW Tzus and More Rescue.

Help homeless dogs by shopping online or by performing internet searches!  Create an account with www.igive.com, and select DFW Tzus and More Rescue as your chosen cause.  DFW Tzus and More Rescue will receive a percentage of your internet purchases and a penny for every search made through IGive.com.  This program is free, but in order to help homeless furbabies, you'll need to sign into www.igive.com, then perform a search or click on a store through their website.  Also, if you shop within 45 days of signing up, then IGive.com will donate an additional $5 to DFW Tzus and More Rescue!
